Departments

Piano Department

Our piano department consists of some 110 students led by 13 of Israel’s finest musicians. In addition to individual lessons, students are provided with a wide range of enrichment activities intended to deepen their music education such as theory and ear training classes, master classes, workshops and special performances. Students regularly participate in piano trios, four-handed ensembles and choirs.
Students are selected to participate in the David Goldman Program for Outstanding Young Musicians at the Jerusalem Music Center and are members of the Young Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra. Students in this department perform in festive concerts and recitals in Israel and abroad and have won first prizes in the most distinguished national competitions. Graduates of this department have continued their music education in leading music academies in Israel and abroad.

String Department

Our string department consists of some 120 students led by 20 of Israel’s finest musicians. In addition to individual lessons, students are provided with a wide range of enrichment activities intended to deepen their music education such as theory and ear training classes, master classes, workshops and special performances. Students participate regularly in string chamber orchestras and various ensembles such as string quartets, piano trios and baroque ensembles. Students are selected to participate in the David Goldman Program for Outstanding Young Musicians at the Jerusalem Music Center and are members of the Young Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra.
Students of this department perform in festive concerts and recitals in Israel and abroad and have won first prizes in the most distinguished national competitions. Graduates of this department have continued their music education in leading music academies in Israel and abroad.

About the Program for Excellence in String Education (PESE): PESE was founded in 2008 with the vision of offering children of all backgrounds the opportunity to access string instruction of the highest quality. The Program is directed by the renowned violinist and instructor Michael Gaisler, one of Israel’s leading figures in string education.

PESE grants every child with the desire and motivation to experience music education the opportunity to receive the highest quality of instruction in a warm and supportive environment which is conducive to learning and growth. Simultaneously, it equips Israel’s next generation of string teachers with the skills and competencies necessary to achieve their musical calling with the highest degree of professionalism.
Today, PESE represents the pinnacle of the music education we strive to provide. We are proud to be at the forefront of string education in Israel and to be able to provide this singular opportunity to students and teachers. Read more about PESE.

Woodwind and Brass Department

Our Woodwind and Brass Department consists of some 120 students, led by 19 of Israel’s finest musicians. In addition to individual lessons, students are provided with a wide range of enrichment activities intended to deepen their music education such as theory and ear training classes, master classes, workshops and special performances. Students participate regularly in wind orchestras and various ensembles such as woodwind quintet, brass quintet, recorder ensemble, jazz ensembles and big bands.
Students are selected to participate in the David Goldman Program for Outstanding Young Musicians at the Jerusalem Music Center and are members of the Young Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra. Students of this department perform in festive concerts and recitals in Israel and abroad and have won first prizes in the most distinguished national competitions. Jazz, Pop and Rock Department

Our Jazz, Pop and Rock department consists of some 80 students led by 12 of Israel’s finest musicians. In addition to individual lessons, students are provided with a wide range of enrichment activities intended to deepen their music education such as theory and ear training classes, master classes, workshops, jam sessions and special performances. Students participate regularly in big bands and various jazz, pop and rock combos.
Students of this department perform in festive concerts and recitals in Israel and abroad and have won first prizes in the most distinguished national competitions. Graduates of this department have continued their music education in leading music academies in Israel and abroad.

Our classical guitar department consists of some 15 students led by three of Israel’s finest musicians. In addition to individual lessons, students are provided with a wide range of enrichment activities intended to deepen their music education such as theory and ear training classes, master classes, workshops and special performances.

Voice Department

Our voice department consists of some 25 students led by three of Israel’s finest musicians. In addition to individual lessons, students are provided with a wide range of enrichment activities intended to deepen their music education such as theory and ear training classes, master classes, workshops and special performances.
Students in this department are trained in a variety of different genres including classic, jazz, opera, pop and rock and participate regularly in choirs and ensembles.
